How Northern Lights Began

Lina and Binay started a business called Northern Lights in 1989.

Both had an interest in natural stones, jewelry making and astrology.

In 1990 they began doing craft shows in the western states in the US. They expanded this to shows in northern Sweden during summers.

In 1991 they also began studying Vedic Astrology and its use of gemstones.

Along with a successful craft business they are also selling Vedic gemstones and Vedic gemstone jewelry.

They both live and work in Ananda Village – a spiritual community in the Sierra Foothills in northern California.
