Vedic Astrology Gemstones

Certain gemstones are said to hold and transmit the energies of the planets. The concentration of light seen in these gemstones reflects energies of the stars. By wearing certain gems we carry the influences of the planets into our energy field.

The most important remedial measure used in Vedic astrology is that of using gemstones. Through the use of gemstones one can balance and strengthen the positive energies seen in a chart. The Vedic system of gem therapy has proven itself over a period of several thousand years.

In “Autobiography of a Yogi” Sri Yukteswar explains: “Electrical and magnetic radiations are ceaselessly circulating in the universe; they affect man’s body for good and ill. Ages ago our rishis pondered the problem of combating the adverse effects of subtle cosmic influences. The sages discovered that pure metals emit an astral light which is powerfully counteractive to negative pulls of the planets. Certain plant combinations were also found to be helpful. Most effective of all are faultless jewels of not less than two carats.”
