Rahu

Rahu is the north node of the moon. According to vedic mythology Rahu and Ketu where originally united in the shape of a snake. The snake attracted the anger of Lord Vishnu, who cut the snake in two. The snake is immortal and continued to live but in two separate parts. Rahu is the head and therefore Rahu is the thinker. Rahu is mental, intelligent and governs material desires. It also rules that which is foreign and unusual.
